The Itsy Bitsy Spider...

and the big ol' spider....

As many have already seen on FB I wanted to share my spider art dolls that I just finished for a custom order for a lady that collects real pet spiders and is truly the "spider" lady!!!! She just came and picked them up this morning and was absolutely in love with them so I guess mission accomplished!

I had never done a spider art doll before when she asked me to do it but everything turned out even better then I could have imagined and I am now looking forward to finding some time to make some more for my Etsy Shop!  In the meantime if you wish to order your own in your own choice of colors I have put a couple of "made to order" listings in my shop for you to place an order if you so wish.  Of course my art dolls are always one of a kind so I can not recreate these exact spiders but I can do something similar.

First we have Scooter the Spider who is apprx 6" in diameter with a leg span of apprx. 15".  He comes with a little story on a card...

"Im a little spider watch me spin
I go by the name of Scooter
and I just might let you in!
I have 8 legs that are hairy,
but you'll soon see that
I'm not that scary!
We can hang out in my web
it will be just fine,
only if you promise to
be a friend of mine!"

Next we have Ursula who is apprx. 14" from front to back and apprx. 8" tall with a leg span of apprx. 20" wide.  She also has a little story that goes...

"Ursula the spider hatched from an egg,
She's extra creepy with her 8 hairy legs!
In her giant web watch her spin,
as the flies come falling in.
Ursula will quickly grab them tight
and gobble them all up in one BIG bite!!!"

Honey I Shrunk The Oddlings

Bobbi Bobkins started his life looking just like all the other Oddlings in regards to size. However Bobbi was always a little too curious for his own good, wondering about, getting into anything and everything that peeked his interest! One day Bobbi Bobkins stumbled upon a peculiar looking door that he had never seen before. He tried to open it and found that it was locked, this made him even more curious as he imagined all the possibilities that could be on the other side of it. Bobbi asked around for a key but no one knew of one so he knew what he had to do. Bobbi gathered up a bunch of tools and set out to pry the lock open. After many many hours to Bobbi's delight he finally unlocked the door! As the door swung open a light brighter then he had ever seen shined out upon him, blinding him from what was inside. As his curiosity got the better of him he stepped inside anyhow. Bobbi was only inside for a few seconds when the door seemed to forcefully spit Bobbi back out with great force, only Bobbi didn't quite look like Bobbi anymore..... Bobbi Bobkins was now only 9 inches tall! His morning coffee cup was now more like a bathtub to him! Bobbi Bobkins had been SHRUNK!

A Warm Welcome To Merlin

Merlin was born into this world by the master musical Wizard Gildon Everard. Gildon loved his piano so much that he wanted to give it life, and a name and such Merlin was pieced together with the finest fabrics and notions Gildon could find and of course his much loved piano. The two of them lived happily together, making music for all that would listen for the next 400 years. One day Gildon went out for a routine trip to market while Merlin patiently waited for his master to return, days and nights went by and the realization swept over Merlin that he might never see his beloved Gildon again. Merlin unable to sit and wait any longer, went out into the world in hopes of finding Gildon or even a clue to his whereabouts. Merlin wondered the trails he knew until he eventually no longer recognized his surroundings and realized he too was now lost and cold and alone. Merlin has taken refuge here with the other Oddlings in hopes of one day being adopted to a new Master that will take care of him and love him the way Gildon once did, and he will provide hundreds of years of happiness to whomever that lucky one might be.

Merlin is a one of a kind handmade art doll. He has been made with vintage fabrics and his face has been hand painted with the finest fabric paints available. While his left eye has been hand painted on, his right ear is made of white fun fur. He has 2 piercings in his one ear with removable silver jump rings in them. He wears a black bow and 2 large yellow buttons on his super long neck. The widest part of his body is piano keys and he has just the right size patch of white fun fur on his chest.

Oddling Merlin measures 35" from the bottom of his toe to the tip of his ear. His widest part of his body measures 16" across.

3rd Video & Counting

I just finished putting together and uploading my 3rd speed painting video earlier today and as I promised with the first one, each one is getting better then the last!  However I guess I will let you be the judge of that. lol

My most recent painting is titled Over The Rainbow and only because I was inspired by The Wizard of Oz when I painted it, there isn't actually any rainbow in the painting.  I kind of thought that you might find a scene like this over the rainbow in Oz.

Big Juicy Tears No. 9

I finished Big Juicy Tears of Blood and Pain No. 9 a couple of days ago titled Bye Bye Bunny and also recorded myself painting this one making this my second speed paint video.  As I promised in my last post the next video would be better then the first and it is!!  I used my video camera instead of my webcam and so the video is much cleaner looking, I am really happy with it!
